Welcome to Kamusha Yoga Studio
At Kumusha Yoga Studio, Lizzie offers a deeply personal and intentional space for self-exploration and healing, guided by the wisdom of Ayurvedic principles. Now exclusively dedicated to private sessions, every offering is tailored to your unique constitution, needs, and state of being. Through this holistic approach, Lizzie supports you in finding balance—physically, mentally, and emotionally—so that you can reconnect with yourself in a way that feels natural and sustainable.
Rooted in Ayurveda, each session is designed to honor your individual journey. Sessions can be an amalgamation of all that Lizzie offers—yoga, mindfulness, postural support, reformer pilates, meditation, breathwork, and Ayurvedic lifestyle guidance—or can focus solely on one style of practice, depending on what you need in the moment. Whether you seek dynamic movement, restorative stillness, or breath-centered mindfulness, your practice will be thoughtfully curated to support you in realigning with yourself.
Why Kumusha?
“Kumusha” is a word from the African Bantu language, meaning home, roots, and origin. “Kamusha” was also the name of Lizzie’s father’s childhood farm, carrying with it deep personal significance. This name reflects her belief in yoga as a journey home—to yourself. As Ram Dass so beautifully said, “We’re all just walking each other home.” To guide you on that path is Lizzie’s greatest privilege.
Nestled in the peaceful setting of Lizzie’s garden, this small, homegrown studio offers a sanctuary to pause, reflect, and realign. Whether you’re just beginning or deepening your practice, each session is an opportunity to reconnect with your essence and rediscover a sense of ease within.
Kumusha is a place where movement meets mindfulness, and where each practice is shaped with authenticity, care, and trust. Wherever you are on your journey, Lizzie is here to support you in finding your way home—to yourself.
