Dynamic Yoga

Set to fun upbeat music we flow to the rhythm of our breath in a creatively curated sequence. The weekly philosophical themes will help you on your spiritual Sadhana and will guide the physical purpose of our practice. Be prepared to sweat, to have fun and to find your desired meditation through the dance like flow of movement.

This style of yoga is inspired by Ashtanga Vinyasa - This is a faster paced style of yoga, although still sequenced to the rhythm of our breath, poses have less hold time which means, there is a less alignment cue and more sequential guidance. Some yoga experience is helpful, come with a mindful approach and lean into the experience.

Note if working with injury or new to yoga, please contact me first to discuss whether this style of practice is appropriate for you.

Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra

This class is suitable for all levels or for those who prefer a slower paced practice. The first 40 minutes is a yin practice which focuses on increasing mobility and flexibility by affecting the deep connective tissue. To help support intensity within the stretch we employ props to prevent overstretching as we aim to sustain poses from 3-5 minutes. Important things to remember in this practice — Come to an appropriate edge in each pose.

— Time over intensity (finding appropriate edge to stay for duration)

— Commit to stillness. This allows energy to flood into the connective tissue structures rather than muscles.

The final 20 minutes are where we practice Yoga Nidra - this is a deeply restorative and rejuvenating practice that promotes healing and resting whilst developing our ability to sustain awareness while the body and mind sleep.
